Who we are
This website, slpta.org, is operated by the Stratford Landing Elementary PTA (SLES PTA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Stratford Landing Elementary School community in Alexandria, Virginia.
What this site collects
Very little. This site is informational: it has no user accounts, no comment forms, and no shopping cart. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.
Payments happen elsewhere
slpta.org never collects payment information. Membership, donations, registrations, and purchases are handled by dedicated platforms — Givebacks, CheddarUp, and Bonfire — on their own secure websites. Information you provide there (such as your name, email, student’s teacher, or shirt size) is collected by those platforms under their own privacy policies and shared with the PTA only for running the program you signed up for.
Embedded content
Some pages embed content from other services — for example, the PTA calendar is an embedded Google Calendar, and documents are hosted on Google Drive. Viewing those pages is treated by Google as a visit to its services, subject to Google’s privacy policy.
If you email a PTA address (like president@slpta.org or treasurer@slpta.org), we use your message and address only to respond and run PTA business. We do not sell or share contact information.
Children
This site is written for parents and community members and does not knowingly collect information from children.
